A Study in Psychology: Learning Styles, Study Techniques, and How to Do Well in School: Separating the Memory Science from the Pseudoscience

Are learning styles really a thing? What is the best way to study for tests? What is the difference between memorizing and learning? These are all important questions for young scholars to be thinking about. Come see how the study of psychology works in action AND hone your own learning and testing skills. In this brief learning experience, I will walk you through the memory science behind learning styles and study techniques. We will learn about some of the most important experiments in memory research, discuss a recent review of learning styles and plan for how to implement the most effective techniques for your studying.

Format: Hybrid (both on-line and synchronous with those who want to come face to face), unless circumstances demand a fully on-line experience.

    Instructor: Dr. Michael Eskenazi

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
